Moroccanoil: Your hair problems, Solved.

Have you ever seen those tv commercials where a gorgeous model starts waving her long, thick, lustrous hair from left to right and then tosses it back playfully?

I have and did I wish I had hair like hers.

But I knew it would take more than the hair conditioner the model was trying to sell in that tv commercial. But what?

I had recently stumbled upon a few Moroccanoil reviews while scouring the web for the perfect hair treatment that would get rid of my dull and boring hair, and transform it into lustrous, soft, and smooth hair.

Once I started reading these Moroccanoil reviews, I was just captivated; enough so to have bought my very own bottle of Moroccanoil. And it definitely did not disappoint me.

What is Moroccanoil?

Moroccanoil is a unique oil treatment for hair, and unlike other hair treatment products, it has the property of quick and effortless absorption into hair and scalp.

This means it won’t leave your hair and head feeling heavy and won’t leave any troublesome oil residue or oil build up, which makes Moroccanoil truly different from others, among other things.

Moroccanoil can tame unmanageable hair, soften and smooth the driest strands, and strengthens weaker roots and hair with only a few drops, in only a matter of minutes. And not only does it give your hair essential nutrients, it also relieves itchy scalp.

According to other Moroccanoil reviews, it even speeds up drying and styling time, making it an even more versatile hair treatment product by functioning dually as hair treatment AND a style and finish hair care product.

If you find this hard to believe, buy one yourself and try it out.

Moroccanoil contains argan oil, which is particularly rich in natural tocopherols or better known as Vitamin E, and also in unsaturated fatty acids which help revamp boring, lifeless hair to vivacious!

Traditionally, argan oil is used as a treatment for skin diseases; but now it has found favor with the cosmetics industry because of its numerous benefits to the skin with its nutritive properties.

Moroccanoil: Hair Salon in a Bottle

I had dull, dry, unmanageable hair and I knew it was time that I took care of the health of my hair. Healthy hair = a healthy way of life, right?

After years of neglecting my hair, it has become dry, brittle and lifeless. I had to find a product that would be effective at treating lifeless hair like mine.

Today my hair has a new leash on life, thanks to MoroccanOil. I couldn't believe how such a small jar like the Moroccanoil turned my hair from drab to vibrant and healthy.

Moroccanoil also has a nice nutty and spicy scent that kept me feeling fresh and cool all day, without making my hair too heavy or excessive at any point.

At the end of the day, I am still so excited about how shiny and vibrant my new hair looks that I hesitate before taking a shower. :)

Here at Moroccanoil Reviews dot net, I'm more than happy to share this testimony as I am thrilled with the results I received from the Moroccanoil. I do highly recommend it, it just has so many benefits!

What can Moroccanoil do for your hair?

So what exactly are these benefits from using Moroccanoil? Below are some:

  • Softens difficult, colored, crinkly hair
  • Strengthens flimsy hair
  • Brings back shine without leaving an oily residue
  • Creates an ideal balance for the hair and scalp
  • Relieves itchy, dry scalp
  • Encourages renewal and provides support to hair damaged by bleaching or heat styling
  • A great hair detangler
  • Safeguards against UV damage and other environmental elements
  • Does not weigh down thin or fine hair
  • Gives your hair vitamins and minerals it needs to stay healthy and shiny, all the time
  • Hair dries faster, speeds up styling and makes hair easier to style
  • Has a nice, pleasant smell without being overpowering

As an added bonus, Moroccanoil is packed in an air-tight, high-quality amber glass bottle, to protect the oil from UV, oxidation, and other contaminants. Smart!

A Few Negatives

Like other products however, there are a couple of drawbacks I found with Moroccanoil that you should be aware of.

One, is that Moroccanoil comes in a glass jar so if one isn't being too attentive and it's dropped, the glass could shatter and it would be a complete waste. You can remedy this by being careful while using it.

Second, the price may be a bit high at under $40 for a 3.4 oz. bottle. However, considering that one only needs a dime-size amount of the product to work its magic, the price isn't too shabby at all. I have the jar I bought a couple of months ago and there's still plenty inside. It'll take me some time before I use it all up.

While you could easily manage to skip one lunch date with a friend that will cost about the same amount, what the Moroccanoil can do for your hair is long-lasting and beneficial to your overall appearance. Would you be willing to spend the money to have beautiful hair?

Using Moroccanoil can definitely become a major confidence booster, as it has for me. Now I love showing off my hair, just like the beautiful model in that TV commercial I used to envy.

With all the plethora of benefits with this product, we here at Moroccanoil Reviews dot net think that it's safe to say that Moroccanoil is so worth its cost.

Moroccanoil reviews from others

Other people love the Moroccanoil as much as I do. Here are a few snippets of ACTUAL reviews from REAL people who have also used Moroccanoil:

This review by a user named Lafille:

I have searched high and low for products that will work with my curly hair - and I have always been disappointed... But ever since Morocconoil has come into my life, my hair has been transformed into shiny healthy hair.

A user from California:

I felt like I should be making a hair product commercial...my hair felt marvelously soft (& the smell is clean & nice..)

Here's another one from a guy named Steven:

This makes your hair feel like silk. If you flat iron or blow your hair out this is the product for you. Introduced to me by my hairdresser; I'm loving it!

Last Thoughts

Moroccanoil can soften even the hardest hair to manage. It can nourish and strengthen your scalp while protecting your hair from harmful UV and other external factors.

You can read what other customers and critics are saying about this one-of-a-kind product, then see for yourself how you can put some life back into YOUR hair.

P.S.
Oh and one more thing: I almost forgot to mention that I no longer get split ends like I use to. So happy!

I love what Moroccanoil has done to my hair and I know that you will too.

I recently heard that this product stops your hair from being coloured. Has anyone else heard this or found this to be a problem with their hair. Thanks.

    • angela says:

My stylist puts tons of the stuff in my hair before she colors it as she says it helps the hair absorb the color! Love this stuff!

    • Heide says:

As a stylist, there are rumors that always go around that are based on “fuzzy logic”…

This is an oil, Argan oil to be exact. So, the natural “logic” that someone attaches to it is that it will build up and coat the hair shaft tremendously. While this can be true and is true of many oils out there, this is not the case with Argan oil. It is so light that it would take a crazy long time to create that amount of build up. By then you would have noticed!

Someone said “what if?” and just like the child game Telephone… well now we have a myth about haircolor.

Furrealz? I’ve seen this product at the salon I frequent, maybe I should give it a try too.

I like your blog a lot, I try to visit whenever I remember! I love my moroccanoil too :D

  5. L. Hornby says:

I am curious: the fact that Moroccan oil enables your hair to dry faster does that mean it contains acetone or an acetone-like additive? I remember, in my student days, removing moisture from lab test tubes by rinsing with acetone then pouring it out. Acetone is the ultimate drying agent.

    Thank you

    • jade says:

      Hi L,

Thanks for the comment! I took out my bottle of Moroccanoil and here are the ingredients coming from the packaging itself:
Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Argania Spinoza Kernel Oil (Argan Oil), Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Extract, Parfum (Frangrance), D&C Yellow-11, D&C Red-17, Coumarin, Benzyl Benzoate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone

I did a quick research and the chemical names for acetone are dimethyl ketone; 2-propanone, which aren’t listed on there. So from the looks of it, the quick answer to your question is no, Moroccanoil does not contain acetone.

I have however contacted Moroccanoil customer service and forwarded your question to them and see what they have to say about this, and as soon as I hear from them I will post it right here. :D

  6. Badhairday says:

Does the Moroccanoil help with the protection against heat when you flat iron your hair?

    • jade says:

Absolutely! In fact right before I flat iron my hair I use a quarter-size amount of Moroccanoil (I have long, thick hair). My hairstylist actually puts it on my hair before AND AFTER she irons my hair, don’t know if that’s overkill but yea, that’s how she does it.

Ok first off, this woman has a European hair type and not an Ethnic hair type. This product is great for me being an African American woman when I am in THE SALON and my hairdresser has the right tools to perform the soft silky look on my hair. HOWEVER, when and if you have very thick, coarse, or are transitioning from relaxed hair to natural hair, these are not every time results. The moisturizing does NOT last very long and if you workout or sweat in your sleep, its pretty pointless to even try it. In fact, it’s almost frustrating to see videos where a high paid professional stylist only shows ONE hair type and not all of the other hair types that are out there. Moroccanoil is very pleasant smelling and can leave your hair soft BUT it does not moisturize everyone’s hair type the way it shows in this video. New growth ESPECIALLY in a relaxed to natural transition does not get the same effects as when you put it through the rest of your hair. I hope there are more videos that will show the Ethnic hair side to this product at some point. Good product for those who are not transitioning or have coarse hair.

    • KLL says:

I’m sorry I should add that when attempting to get the soft sleek look at home the results are not the same every time. Not that the product doesn’t soften the hair but it does not allow for a sleek shiny look as if you were just out of the salon.

    • jade says:

      Thanks for your feedback KLL!

    • Kym says:

You have to learn your hair regardless, you can’t take your stylist home with you. The product is great but the end results of styling depends on you. Any product after the Gym is not going to save the hair style. I am completely natural and also AA so its very possible, enjoy the product!

Awesome post, I’ve just bought a new hair straightener myself.
